The Great Democratic Divide

The rift between Progressives and Liberal Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives continues. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is arguably one of the most influential and respected members of the Democratic Caucus, has once again called out a member of “The Squad” over her use of antisemitic rhetoric.

First, it was Rep. Ilhan Omar, and now its Rep. Rashida Tlaib.

Rep. Wasserman Schultz, a Jewish-American lawmaker, took issue with Rep.Tlaib’s recent remark referring to the state of Israel as an “apartheid” state.
