Ho! Ho! Ho! Special Session is Over

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis continues to play Santa Claus to millions of Floridians, this time signing a legislative measure to  slash toll road fees by 50% throughout 2023. Gov. DeSantis made the announcement during a press conference this week where he stated that Floridians would be saving $500 million in 2023.

That is a whole lot of “coin” as DeSantis would say.

Puerto Rico: La Isla del Encanto

House Democrats have rammed through a bill that would allow Puerto Ricans on the island to vote for statehood, an move that Republicans say is a desperate attempt to control future elections.

Republicans contend that if Puerto Ricans were to vote, they would vote Democratic and that the American territory would give Democrats  Senate and House seat advantages over Republicans.
