Well, most hospitals around the country are saying that these surgeries are being performed on individuals at least 18 years old, the University of Miami is on record stating that they will perform the life-altering surgeries on kids under the age of 18.
What’s worse, the U of Miami only requires one parent’s consent. So, if you oppose your child from getting this drastic surgery, it doesn’t matter. As long as your spouse or the mother or father of your child consents to the surgery, you have no say.
