Well Wishes for Casey DeSantis Pour In From Around the State, Nation
Floridians were saddened to hear that First Lady Casey DeSantis was diagnosed with breast cancer on Monday.
Both Republicans and Democrats put aside their political and ideological differences with the DeSantis Family and sent heartfelt condolences and ‘get well wishes.
Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried took a short break from bashing Mr. DeSantis’s husband, Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Commissioner Fried even asked that her Twitter followers show respect and “empathy”
“Our hearts are with Florida’s First Lady Casey DeSantis and her family. We are all praying for you,” said Commissioner Fried. If you choose to reply to this tweet, please show some empathy. Casey is a mother of three and deserves our support in this difficult fight.”
But Fried’s call for empathy didn’t stop the scores of trolls that could not control their obsession and hatred of Gov. DeSantis by taking cheap shots at the governor while responding to Fried.
Pathetic. This just shows you how low many extremists have fallen.
Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who was also diagnosed with breast cancer 14 years ago, sent her best wishes and offered assistance to the First Lady.
This is First Class character.
“@FLCaseyDeSantis As a #breastcancer survivor also diagnosed at 41 and a 14-year survivor, I’m wishing you the strength you need to fight and win this battle. The breast cancer survivor sisterhood knows no party. Please reach out if I can help in any way,” stated Rep. Wasserman Schultz.
—On a personal note, the Manjarres family —Michelle, Jenna, Jacey, Siena, and I— send our love and prayers to Ron, Casey, and the rugrats.
Several years back when our chips were down, Ron and Casey were the first to reach out and help. The gesture will never be forgotten.
Congratulations Shev Jones!
Yes, I’ll say it, even if it means having to hear him gloat about it.
Sen. Shevrin Jones (D), one of the best-dressed members of the Florida Legislature, has been tapped to be an “At-Large” member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
I am not sure what this means other than he is invited to more chicken dinner events and gets a 20% coupon to Krispy Kreme, and gets a new, shiny name badge of sorts. Congrats Shev. READ MORE
