The table is finally set for the 2022 general election and now it’s time for Gov. Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio to flex their muscles going into the last two months of the cycle.
Rep. Val Demings has proven to be Sen. Rubio’s most formidable opponent to date, raising an incredible amount of campaign cash, but her support for the progressive legislative agenda in Congress is and will continue to be her Achilles’ Heal.
Rubio is capitalizing on this and at a recent campaign stop with DeSantis in Geneva, Florida, the senior senator reminded that Demings has voted with Speaker Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time.
“Not even Nancy Pelosi votes with Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time,” quipped Rubio.
Rubio’s former senatorial campaign nemesis, former Republican-turned-Independent-
After beating AG Commissioner Nikki Fried in the primary election, Rep. Crist will have his most difficult race to date.
Yes, he almost won is Senate race against Rubio in 2010, and Yes, he almost beat Gov. Rick Scott in 2014, but Crist will no have to face off with arguably the most popular governor in the entire country.
Not only does DeSantis have big ideas and big dreams for Floridians, ideas that show he is popular among a decent swath of Democrat and Independent voters, but Big Ron has Big Cash.
Big Cash.
Crist will be able to raise money now that he is the nominee, but DeSantis can easily drown him when he turns on the fundraising hose.
Both Crist and Demings are inextricably tied to the current Biden administration and the Progressive agenda of the past four years in the House.
Voters have rejected Democratic Socialism, and while it's expected that both the gubernatorial and senatorial races will be tight, there is a high probability that DeSantis and Rubio will prevail.
Advantage: Chick Fil A
(Both DeSantis and Rubio love some Chick Fil A)
