Anna Paulina Luna has once again won her hotly contested primary election, and will now face off with Democrat Eric Lynn in the November general election. After the dust settled, Luna crushed her four Republican opponents, outlasting Attorney Kevin Hayslett by 10 percentage points and Amanda Makki by 27 percentage points.

While Luna has received Donald Trump's endorsement, the Republican primary has nonetheless been a tough battle. According to Five-Thirty-Eight, Luna has maintained a narrow 3-point lead over Hayslett, whom she recently attacked on Twitter for a past anti-Trump Facebook post he says he does not remember writing.

Luna herself has come under fire from her more vocal rival Makki, whom The Floridian interviewed earlier this August. Makki called out Luna's past as a Democrat, a supporter of Barack Obama, and not voting for Gov. DeSantis in 2018. Last August, major Trump ally Roger Stone wrote a far more scathing op-ed against Luna. Stone even made a video in October further mocking Luna while dressed in fatigues, fake medals, a wig, and holding a toy gun.
