Ex-Con, GOP Congressional Candidate is Eligible to Hold Office

After Jason Mariner won his Republican primary race in the Special Election to replace the late-Rep. Alcee Hastings (D), media outlets were quick to report that Mariner was ineligible to hold office due to Florida statute, but failed to understand that the U.S. Constitution "Trumps" state laws. MUST-READ
