Yeeeehawwww! DeSantis Travels to Texas

Not only does he traverse the state of Florida to sign bills, meet with local small business owners, and oversee disaster relief efforts wearing his black cowboy boots, but Gov. Ron DeSantis also likes to go to the Texas southern border to see how the law enforcement officers he sent to help Gov. Greg Abbott secure the border from the “invasion” of illegal aliens crossing over from Ol’ Mexico.

Florida Democrats, particularly DeSantis’ 2022 Democratic gubernatorial challengers, AG Commissioner Nikki Fried and Rep. Charlie Crist, took issue with Gov. DeSantis for sending those law enforcement officers to Texas and Arizona, saying that the building collapse in Surfside, Florida needed the officers there. Well, according to Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, a devout progressive Democrat, said DeSantis' support was “extraordinary” and that there was enough support from first responders at the building collapse site.

This is a perfect example of why politicians should think through which events to politicize, and which not to. READ MORE

Could the 2022 Midterm Election Turn out to be an Utter Disaster for Florida Democrats?

No matter who you speak to, the consensus is that Democrats will lose their slim majority in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. Considering the legislation they have been trying to ram through, Americans should double down and bet on ‘Red.’

Cuba! Patria y Vida!

The Cuban American exile community and other South Florida supporters of the plight of the Cuban people against the Communist regime on the island, descended on The Freedom Tower and Bayfront Park in Miami to protest against the oppression that has been going on in Cuba for over 60 years.

More than 1000 people showed up by land and sea, including several of Miami's elected officials, including Mayor Francis Suarez.

Marco Rubio @marcorubio-There are various reasons why the world has not yet seen the full scope of the atrocities being committed by the regime in #Cuba But when the world finally gets to see a complete account of what they done to people, even the most hardened will be horrified and angry

Rick Scott @SenRickScott-The illegitimate communist Cuban regime has finally released José Daniel Ferrer’s son. Now, @jdanielferre@bertasoler@LMOAlcantara & all unjustly jailed for fighting for democracy must be immediately released. We can’t stop until we see freedom in Cuba. #SOSCuba #PatriaYVida

U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy @RepStephMurphy-My family and I escaped a communist regime and I know how fine the line is between an autocracy and a democracy. We must find the truth of what happened in the lead up to and on January 6 in order to preserve and protect the United States.

Kevin McCarthy @GOPLeader-"Socialism is socialism, no matter what word you put on the front of it…the Cuban people want the same things that we have in America. The US is the bastion of liberty.” —@RepMariaSalazar delivers this week’s Republican address.
