DeSantis's Not-So-Secret, Yet Biggest Weapon
Back in 2018, The Floridian was the first media outlet in the country to coin the phrase that Florida’s First Lady Casey DeSantis was Gov. Ron DeSantis’s “Secret Weapon.”

One advantage that Gov. DeSantis has over former President Donald Trump is that his wife Casey is up for the challenge of campaigning for her hubby.
Mrs. DeSantis was recently in Illinois with their oldest daughter Madison stumping for the Governor while he appeared to be back in Tallahassee working and taking care of the couple's younger rugrats.
Since winning her battle with breast cancer, Mrs. DeSantis has ramped up her public appearances and since the formal presidential announcement, she has been at just about every campaign stop, including the kick-off in Des Moines, Iowa, and in some instances, appears to have stolen the spotlight away from the governor.
She is without question an invaluable asset to DeSantis.
Former First Lady and wives of presidential candidates have stumped for their husbands in the past, but Mrs. DeSantis appears to be breaking the mold for how spouses will in the future campaign for their other halves.
It’s like she is running a president herself, a simultaneous campaign.
It’s a huge advantage for DeSantis, considering that Casey is just as articulate (definitely better looking) as DeSantis.
The big question is, can Casey’s appeal to Soccer mom’s around the country win over enough Republican voters to help the Governor defeat the former president?
