Donalds Says Biden Used Multiple Bank Accounts to Receive Burisma Bribe

Earlier this week, House Republicans revealed an FBI document suggesting President Biden took $5 million in bribe money from Burisma, where his son Hunter sat as a board member; as Vice President. Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) spoke during the House's press conference, repeating "Money was being moved through several accounts — multiple accounts — to get to Joe Biden."

As Rep. Donalds said in the clip, a confidential source spoke with the FBI in 2020 about Biden's alleged involvement in a scheme for Burisma to gain oil rights on the US market. The $10 million (5 for Vice President Biden, 5 for Hunter) was to throw off investigations by Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, as Fox News described.

When the indictment of Trump came that same day, Rep. Donalds called the charges "phony" and a means of protecting President Biden.

"On the day members of Congress learn from an FBI document linking then VP Joe Biden to receiving $5 MILLION from Burisma in a pay-for-play scheme, Biden’s DOJ announces another phony indictment of the leading candidate for the GOP Presidential nomination, Biden’s likely opponent, and the former POTUS. This mob-like justice system is turning Lady Justice on its head and is the most significant threat to our democracy. Stand with President Trump," said Rep. Donalds.

Trump similarly called the indictment "election interference," "a hoax," and "a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time."

House Republicans sought to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress, while the FBI argued revealing the confidential source would kill them. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) said she was "in shock" upon leaving the hearing.

"In shock after leaving @GOPOversight today: The FBI HAS an informant who brought forward info that Biden received 5 million from a foreign national while VP. THEY stated they were afraid the informant would be killed if unmasked, said Rep. Luna.
