Taking an Early Victory lap?

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis spent the last weekend before the August 23 primary election hopscotching around Florida campaigning for school board candidates he has personally endorsed.

His education tour, which touched the communities in Miami, Sarasota, Volusia, and Duval counties, drew in hundreds of interested and supporting Republican voters.

Meanwhile, Gov. DeSantis's potential Democratic general election opponent, Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, was touring the state in a bus wrapped with her likeness.

Fried stayed on message, asserting that she was the best chance Democrats had to defeat DeSantis.

Fried, along with Rep. Charlie Crist, have relentlessly bashed DeSantis over his opposition to wedge election-year issues like abortion and teaching transgenderism to children, yet haven’t offered up much in regard to other issues.

"I am our best shot at taking Ron DeSantis down,” said Commissioner Fried.

Election Day is tomorrow, and some of the most contentious primary races will come to an end.

The Republican congressional primary race in District 7, with all of its ugliness, will boil down to combat veteran Cory Mills, Navy SEAL Brady Duke, and State Rep. Anthony Sabatini.

Sabatini’s campaign has been torched by a $1.2 million campaign by a pro-Trump Super PAC that has targeted him for being a registered Democrat and for voting against DeSantis’s state budget. Sabatini was the only Republican in the state legislature to oppose DeSantis’s budget and vote against it.

And then there are the people Sabatini has associated himself with. READ MORE

Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez Lost in Translation?

This weekend, an audio recording was released of Lt. Gov. Nuñez talking about the illegal immigration border crisis that she (everyone) believes was created by President Joe Biden’s policies.

While Lt. Gov. Nuñez spoke about the overall problem with illegal immigrants, she also said that there was a huge influx of Cubans coming to the U.S. illegally and that the migration could shadow the Mariel boatlift of 1980.Somewhere, somehow, Florida Democrats and some media outlets did not identify where her illegal immigration remarks were specific to two separate issues.

Nuñez deserves a lot of the blame here for not deliberately making the distinction, even though it was clear to us what she was saying. READ MORE

Rep. Val Demings-Gas prices are going down after we brought pressure to bear on the administration, international oil producers, and gas companies. More to do – the Senate should still take up my legislation to stop price gouging.

Kat Cammack-The GOP isn’t the Grand Ole Party, it’s the Great Opportunity Party. We stand for freedom for everyone, regardless of your background or where you come from. When we look at our colleagues on the Left, it’s “do as I say, not as I do,” and the GOP is fighting to change that.

Byron Donalds-CNN stop lying to America!

︎We are in a recession NOW!

︎Gas prices are dropping, b/c we are in recession.
