That’s what Florida Rep. Byron Donalds called for because of the Biden administration’s lack of effort or refusal to do anything about the border crisis. A government shutdown.
Fentanyl continues to stream across the border and more and more Americans are dying because of it.
The inflated Omnibus spending bill has passed in the Senate, so the government is funded and everyone has gone home for Christmas.

The Ominous Omnibus Spending Bill
Once again, congressional Democrats and Republicans were split on an issue.
No news to report on this front other than Republicans are pointing to the Democrat spending bill that allocated millions of dollars to aid countries like Lebanon and Oman.
Huh? What? Que?
Yes, the ominous omnibus spending bill that just passed goes to protect the borders of several Middle East nations and hardly does anything to protect the U.S. border.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz-The Bipartisan #SaferCommunities Act will saves lives, and when @POTUS signed it into law in 2022, it was a major breakthrough in Democrats' efforts to end gun violence. I'll fight with allies like @GiffordsCourage for even safer communities in 2023.

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) spoke on the Senate floor in favor of Sen. Joni Ernst's (R-IA) BUILD Act, which would allow states to request material with which to build a border wall, and the federal government must oblige. Senate Democrats, however, block the Act.
