Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is introducing legislation codifying the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) reforms into law.

Rep. Luna's unnamed bill explicitly states that all changes made by DOGE must be authorized and enforced by law and can only be changed by DOGE or an act of Congress.

"For the first time in decades, we are seeing a successful effort to save valuable taxpayer dollars from the federal government's rampant waste, fraud, and abuse," said Rep. Luna in her press release, adding, "My legislation will ensure that Americans can continue to enjoy a more efficient government and less burdensome regulatory environment. The American people deserve no less!"

The Florida Congresswoman spoke highly of DOGE in a March appearance on Fox Business's Kudlow, advising Americans not to buy into Democrats' anti-DOGE messaging.

"There is also this unfair messaging, and I would argue, even lies from the Democrat Party platform that is trying to paint what DOGE is doing, what this administration, and what the Republican governing body is doing as cuts," Luna previously said, adding, "In actuality, we are looking for savings and also to get rid of that fraud, waste, and abuse. But I would also ask this question: If the American people or the Democrats genuinely believe that access to the welfare system and pushing people into that system is somehow the American Dream, having grown up in that, I would tell you that it is exactly the opposite."

Club for Growth backs the new bill, whose President David McIntosh said, "Club for Growth applauds Rep. Luna's efforts to ensure that DOGE's efforts can continue to save taxpayer dollars. We encourage all conservatives to support this commonsense legislation."

After all, DOGE leader Elon Musk is supposedly set to depart from the program, which Representative Aaron Bean (R-FL) recently called "a bummer," but reiterated that "I believe that his team is going to remain largely intact. I still believe that, secretly, Elon will still be a little bit involved. He has the President's ear. But I do not know who is going to be the new leader of the DOGE for the President. So we will just have to wait and see who the far left hates next."
