As the possible side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine become more apparent, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) announces a grand jury to investigate. In an interview with Florida's Voice, Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez speaks of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Dr. Anthony Fauci "hiding data."

In the clip, Lt. Gov. Nunez describes how "what we saw was the Governor had, like I said, experts that talked about really the risks. What we're seeing, is he has formed a public health integrity committee." By this, she is referring to the roundtable DeSantis held with Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Lapado discussing the effects of the COVID vaccine in the above link.

Nunez says Floridians will "really appreciate" this move, because "people want accountability, they want transparency, they want integrity in science, and they want it to be actual data that's driven by science."

She draws an analogy to learning the scientific method in school. "It was, create a hypothesis, test it, and then provide the answers."

Furthermore, she criticizes the apparent omission of unsatisfactory data by the CDC and Dr. Fauci. "You don't hide the things that you don't like, and that's what the CDC and Fauci had done throughout this entire process. They've hidden the data on these pharmaceutical companies, they hid the data on the tables, and so I think that's what the governor wants to bring to light, and I think, again, Floridians will be better for it, and Americans will be better for it."

Additionally, Nunez describes that "no one should fear science. No one should fear the truth. But unfortunately, I think that's what you've seen, this culture that Fauci has embedded in the CDC and throughout the country. These left governors, these blue state governors, and city mayors that really just want to force people into compliance without providing real data."
