Gun Control on the 2022 Ballot?

With the 2022 midterm elections just five months away, Democrats have been hard-pressed to find an issue that they can champion and use against Republicans in an effort to mitigate the expected “Red Wave” election. The gun issue is now up for debate and could be the last chance Democrats have.

So far, the abortion issue has come up after a Supreme Court memo calling for Roe vs. Wade to be abolished, but that hasn’t moved the needle for Democrats.

Now, after the tragic school shooting in Uvalde, Texas that left 21 children and teachers dead, Democrats are once again using the gun control issue to try to win votes in the month leading to the election.

Will it work?

Maybe, but considering how bad a shape the economy is, and how much Americans are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table, not to mention the price of gas at the pump, gun control as an effective political campaign tool could just be a flash in the pan this election cycle as well.    READ MORE
