Rep. Stephanie Murphy has decided not to run against Senator Marco Rubio in the 2022 midterm elections and will seek reelection to her Central Florida congressional seat.
Crist slammed the decision, calling it “heartless leadership by Gov. Ron DeSantis.”
Murphy confirmed that she will not be running for Rubio’s senate seat while also stressing that she will instead “focus efforts on strengthening Florida Democrats.”
