DeSantis not Letting up on the gas Peddle

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has not let his black cowboy boot off the gas peddle since being sworn into office earlier this month.

In a press conference last week, Gov. DeSantis announced his initiative to support medical professionals, and protect their “free speech and we reject the policies that seek to manufacture “consensus” through coercion.”

The initiative is designed to permanently protect medical professionals from “coercive biomedical policies such as COVID vax passports, COVID vax & mask requirements to attend any school, any COVID mask requirements, all discrimination based on vax or booster status.

In addition, DeSantis stated the following about his views on mandates:

"You should never be discriminated against based on your NRA status, at all. It should not even be an issue.

You should also have protections about masks. You should be able to live your life without a mask and it's like they say well some businesses make you do it, it's irrational to be forcing this in any way.

Now yeah the government in Florida we don't allow government agencies to do it, but you still have these areas where people are being told to go here or there, and I just think it's a civil right to be able to breathe the fresh air and be able to live your life."

This week, DeSantis looks to put those black boots to use again and stop down on the recent “grooming” of children by “Woke society” when drag queen shows performed sexualized acts while minor children were in attendance.

The Floridian was the first to report the drag queen sexualization at the Broward County performance of “Drag Queen Christmas” and then interviewed a 12-year-old daughter and her mother at the Miami showing of the same musical the following night.

Rep. Anna V. Eskamani -Earlier today we got a presentation from @MyFDOT focused on their current five year work plan, their operations and the potential impact of federal dollars coming to Florida. Many of us asked questions centered on public transit too.

Rep. Darren Soto-IMPORTANT VETERANS NEWS: Beginning today, veterans can receive no-cost emergency mental health care at VA or non-VA healthcare facilities. Veterans can use this benefit whether or not they are enrolled in the VA system. This new policy will save lives.

Mario Diaz-Balart- It's appalling that the Biden Admin would sit down & legitimize the Cuban regime that has tortured, imprisoned, & murdered activists, perpetrated the Bahia Honda massacre, & continues to harbor fugitives, such as one of the FBI's "Most Wanted Terrorist" Joanne Chesimard.

Our good men & women in U.S. law enforcement have nothing in common with the thugs that oppress the Cuban people. The rot comes from the top: the Cuban regime has no respect for the rule of law or fundamental rights. To pretend otherwise is absurd.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz-Tomorrow, Jewish and non-Jewish student volunteers at @UF will be spending #NationalBagelDay mobilizing their community in the fight to end antisemitism. I’m grateful for @UFHillel 's extraordinary leadership and proud to be a Gator! #GoGators

Jared Moskowitz-Thank you to my friends and family for joining me at my swearing in ceremony at the @browardinfo chambers. I’m honored to represent Palm Beach and Broward Counties in Washington!
