Overturning Roe vs. Wade

The nation was jolted this week when alleged leaked documents from the Supreme Court stated that the controversial Roe vs. Wade decision would be overturned.

As you can imagine, pro-Choice or Abortion activists were screaming to high heaven, and pro-Life advocates were praying for the decision to be struck down.

Some prominent pro-choice Floridians weighed in to the news, including Senate Minority Leader Lauren Book, Reps. Val Demings and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

“Striking down Roe v. Wade and taking away a woman’s right to make her own decisions is appalling and dangerous. We refuse to go back to being treated as second-class citizens whose personal decisions are made by politicians like Marco Rubio, who has fought relentlessly against the right of Florida women to control their own destiny. Women deserve an end to the constant politicization of our basic, fundamental rights. Let me be clear: I will always stand up, speak out, and fight to codify Roe v. Wade into law, no matter what.”- Rep. Val Demings

Rep. Val Demings-But I tell you the truth, we refuse to go back. The House has already passed legislation to codify Roe in federal law and protect America's women. This is all on the Senate. They must act now to protect a woman’s right to make her own decisions.

US Rep Kathy Castor-For decades, women, their families and doctors have been rightfully entrusted with decisions on when to have children. Now, politicians and judges will have control over your body and your life, no matter where you live - a frightful backsliding of rights

Rep. Anna V. Eskamani -I don't want to scare people w/the future of abortion being at stake, but I do want folks to realize how serious this is, & how it's a domino effect to other rights being stripped away. If you're not supporting abortion funds and/or helping good candidates win, now is the time.
