JUICE—Rep. Charlie Crist is right. “Red Tide is ravaging Tampa Bay” and is killing off marine life, not to mention affecting everyone’s bottom line. But just as Rep. Crist called on Gov. Ron DeSantis to “use all means available to him to address this ongoing crisis, Gov. DeSantis delivered.
Gov. DeSantis announced that he has directed all statewide agencies to “take an all-hands-on-deck approach” to help mitigate the toxic nightmare in Tampa Bay.
I’m pretty sure Crist and DeSantis did not hug it or jump on a quick call to align themselves on this issue.
AG Commissioner Nikki Fried also believes the Red Tide bloom is an emergency that needs immediate attention, regardless of whether DeSantis declares it an official disaster, she says.d
As you know, Fried and Crist are running in a Democratic gubernatorial primary race in 2022. The winner will face off against DeSantis in the 2022 Mid Term election.
