The unfortunate downfall of 2018 Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum took a twist this past weekend. After we published an image of a naked man that resembled Gillum, his attorney Alex Spiros contacted us with a cease and desist letter demanding that we pull down the story that included the graphic image.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (D) is catching a lot of resistance from both Republicans and Democrats for not closing down all of Florida’s beaches due to the Coronavirus outbreak the state is suffering from.

Andrew Gillum’s lawyers have now confirmed that it was him who was laying on the tile floor and apparently “under the influence of an unknown substance” during an apparent overdose at the Mondrian Hotel on Miami Beach,” as we posted here.

World healthcare officials have announced that 246,275 (and counting) people around the world have contracted the deadly disease. In 151 countries, 10,040 deaths tied to the virus have been reported, and in the U.S., the death toll has surpassed 200.

As the Coronavirus or COVID-19  continues to spread around the world, many governments, including the U.S. government, have shut down borders and restricted travel to and from their respective countries.

A couple of members of Congress have tested positive for the virus, and all campaigns have come to a halt due to the high infection rate the disease brings.

President Donald Trump has just announced that he will be "temporarily closing" the U.S. border with Canada and signaled yesterday that the southern border could be next. Trump told reporters on Tuesday that he has in discussions with Canada and Mexico about shutting down the borders. The closing of the border with Canada was "mutual."

As usual, President Trump is now backing down over something he has said. During a White House press conference on Wednesday to address the growing cases of COVID -19, President Trump continued to call the spreading disease as the “China virus.”

The Coronavirus's impact in Florida just got very very real. With the infection count hitting 173 patients, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has decided to declare "Last call" at all bars and restaurants, ordering them to shut it down today at 5 pm for 30 days.

As the Coronavirus continues to spread across the nation, Florida is quickly becoming one of the states with the most COVID-19 cases. According to the Florida Department of Health, there are some 136 confirmed cases across the state, with four residents already having succumbed to the disease.

As the Coronavirus continues to spread across the globe, the Trump administration has been criticized for a slow response to the pandemic, but in reality, the administration was not ready for such an outbreak.

President Donald Trump just tweeted that because of the "very strong border policy" his administration has put in place, the number of Coronavirus deaths have been limited to only 40. The president added that the death toll would be much higher if not for those stricter border security and immigration measures he instilled.
