The COVID-19 pandemic is very real.

World healthcare officials have announced that 246,275 (and counting) people around the world have contracted the deadly disease. In 151 countries, 10,040 deaths tied to the virus have been reported, and in the U.S., the death toll has surpassed 200.

Here is a list of the U.S. states with the most cases and deaths.

Cases:

1. New York: 5,711 cases

2. Washington: 1,376 cases

3. California: 1,030 cases

4. New Jersey: 742 cases

5. Florida: 432 cases

6. Illinois: 422 cases

7. Louisiana: 392 cases

8. Michigan: 334 cases

9. Massachusetts: 328 cases

10. Texas: 307 cases

 

COVID-19 Deaths:

1. Washington: 74 deaths

2. New York: 38 deaths

3. California: 18 deaths

4. Georgia: 10 death

5. Louisiana: 10 deaths

6. Florida: 9 deaths

7. New Jersey: 9 deaths

8. Texas: 5 deaths

9. Colorado: 4 deaths

10. Illinois: 4 death

11. Connecticut: 3 death

12. Michigan 3 deaths

13. Oregon: 3 death

14. Indiana: 2 deaths

15. Kentucky: 1 death

16. Virginia: 2 deaths

17. Kansas: 1 death

18. Maryland: 1 death

19. Missouri: 1 death

20. Mississippi: 1 death

21. Nevada: 1 death

22. Oklahoma: 1 death

23. Pennsylvania: 1 death
