Happy Rub it in Your Face Day

Today is the day that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is inaugurated again, and when he rubs his crushing victory over Florida Democrats in their faces.

Gov. DeSantis has taken a few victory laps since the November midterm election, but today he will stand in the middle of Florida’s political Colosseum and do his best impression of Russell Crowe in the movie “The Gladiator.”

Republican political elites have all converged upon Tallahassee for this historic day.

Besides Gov. DeSantis being sworn in, AG Ashley Moody, CFO Jimmy Patronis, Senate President Wilton Simpson, and Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez, will all also take their respective oaths of office.

We don’t expect many Democratic lawmakers to be in attendance.

After all, how could they show face after getting “crushed” on election night?

That was the term Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D) used to describe the pouncing DeSantis delivered to his fellow Florida Democrats.

On another note, after 3 years in existence, The Floridian has also crushed it.

Outside of pay-for-pay blogs that have been around for about 10 years and have been accused of holding the lobby class hostage by demanding some form of payment to help pay for some obnoxious selfish and obnoxious endeavor, The Floridian is the top independent media dog in the state.

NO ONE. I MEAN NO ONE, not even those new fly-by-night wannabee websites that popped up over the past year or so come close to the Floridian when it comes to traffic, credibility, contacts, and political influence in Florida and Washington.

To quote Denzel Washington in the movie “Training Day”:

Stay tuned for some big announcements.
