Does it go without saying that former President Donald Trump is the undisputed Republican kingmaker, but is he also the grim reaper for those Republicans who oppose this picks? In Florida’s 7th Congressional District, President Trump is said to be staying out of the contested primary race between combat veteran Cory Mills and State Rep. Anthony Sabatini, but is he really?
Trump likes Mills but is said to be conflicted because on one side Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz are pushing Sabatini, and then, on the other hand, Reps. Jim Jordan and Ronnie Jackson are pushing Mills.
In the past week, some $800,000 in ‘Dark Money” has landed on Rep. Sabatini’s head from the pro-Trump American Liberty Action PAC.
While Sabatini says it’s an anti-Trump PAC that is out pushing lies about him, its hard to get passed the fact that the treasurer of the PAC is the same treasurer that President Trump has run his official Super PAC.
There are no coincidences in politics, especially in Trump World.
The Floridian has learned that another $600-800K is expected to be spent against Sabatini in the coming.
Sabatini’s campaign funds are depleted and cannot counter the independent expenditure made against him.
This could be lights out for Sabatini.
