Inflation fell slightly in the month of July.

Despite the inflation rates dropping slightly compared to the incredibly high rates in June (9.1%), the 8.5% rate that was reported for the month of July has not satisfied Republicans such as Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), whose entire platform since running for Governor has been getting Americans back to work. The July Consumer Price Index (CPI) has shown that inflation has risen almost every month of President Joe Biden’s (D) administration.

Upon the CPI report being announced, Rick Scott commented on the inflationary levels that have been unseen since 1979.

“Washington is broken and backwards. While I have been demanding an end to reckless spending, Democrats in Washington have responded to a 40-year high in prices by greenlighting another nearly $1 TRILLION in deficit spending in just the last two weeks through the CHIPS Act and so-called ‘Inflation Reduction Act’. You can’t fight inflation with a non-stop spending spree, but that’s all we can expect from Joe Biden and the radical socialist Democrats here in Washington. Even as Biden drives the country into a recession, all the Democrats seem capable of is cutting Medicare, spending your money and raising your taxes. The Biden administration has made clear that it is waging a war on our seniors, a war on American families and a war on our economy. Until this incompetent president is out of office, Florida families will continue to suffer.”

Moreover, Senator Scott has denounced Attorney General Merrick Garland and the FBI’s handling of the unprecedented search of former President Donald Trump’s (R) home, otherwise known as the Mar-a-Lago raid.

Scott stated in a tweet:

“When Republicans retake the majority in the Senate, there will be a thorough & aggressive investigation into the @FBI's raid of Mar-a-Lago. Everything needs to be on the table for AG Garland, including impeachment if he doesn't come out TODAY & explain what happened.”

There has been no comment from the Department of Justice or the FBI since the announcement of the raid.
