The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently shared what it called "the worst of the worst" criminal illegal aliens arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Florida, some of whom they said could be paying a visit to the state's new migrant detention facility in the Everglades, better known now as "Alligator Alcatraz." The facility received its first wave of migrants last night.

Alligator Alcatraz, and other facilities like it, will give us the capability to lock up some of the worst scumbags who entered our country under the previous administration,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said. “We will expand facilities and bed space in just days, thanks to our partnership with Florida. Make America safe again.”

The following criminal migrants were arrested by ICE Miami and later convicted, according to DHS.

  • Santo Villaba-Reyes: An illegal alien from Venezuela, convicted of homicide.
  • Alberto Godinez-Lopez: An illegal alien from Guatemala, convicted of homicide.
  • Johnny Dieudonne: An illegal alien from Haiti, convicted of kidnapping-false imprisonment.
  • Jan Veslino: An illegal alien from the Philippines, convicted of obscene communication-traveling to meet a minor for sex.
  • Mauro Gomes-Barbosa: An illegal alien from Brazil, convicted of homicide.
  • Paul Urquiza-Orosco: An illegal alien from Peru, convicted of producing and distributing child pornography.
  • Noel Acosta-Moya: An illegal alien from Venezuela, convicted of kidnapping and sexual assault of a child under 13.
  • Adolfo Santoscoy-Rodriguez: An illegal alien from Mexico, convicted of child abuse and forcible rape.
  • Roberto Mosquera-Del Peral: An illegal alien from Cuba, convicted of assault, escape from custody, vehicle theft, aggravated assault of a police officer, and homicide. Also a member of the Latin Kings.
  • Maher Elbrahimizada: An illegal alien from Iran, convicted of arson and homicide.
  • Mauricio Lopez-Cardona: An illegal alien from Colombia, convicted of conspiracy to import cocaine, murder in connection with narcotics trafficking, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and conspiring to support a foreign terrorist organization.

Alligator Alcatraz has been sold by Republicans as a solution to expedite migrants from the U.S. since it was pitched by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier back on June 19. Democrats, on the other hand, have called the facility "cruel," "horrible," and "ridiculous."

Poking fun at their sudden concern for illegal immigration, Florida Republicans on Friday mocked state Democrats by telling them to hit the Alligator Alcatraz gift shop.

"Don’t forget to pick up your swag to support our efforts to undo all of Joe Biden’s failures!" the Florida GOP said.
