HE IS RISEN!

 

That "He is Risen"  message was shared by most lawmakers on social media this past Easter Sunday. From Gov. Ron DeSantis to Reps. Cory Mills, Greg Steube, and Byron Donalds, it appeared that Republican lawmakers were the only ones mentioning Jesus Christ’s rise from the dead.

Florida Democrats like Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, and Kathy Castor, Reps. Jared Moskowitz and Maxwell Frost, also acknowledge the holiday.

More than half of Florida’s Democratic congressional delegation is Jewish, but since they do represent many gentile constituents, acknowledging the holiday like Rep. Wasserman Schultz, Moskowitz, and Lois Frankel did, scored them brownie points.

In addition, only Wasserman Schultz and Maxwell Frost expressed their support for President Joe Biden’s “Transgender Day of Visibility,” which was celebrated on Easter, of all days.
