Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) appeared on Fox News’ “Mornings with Maria” to discuss the prospect of illegal immigrants voting in elections and being counted in the census, which affects congressional representation nationwide.

“It’s going to be incumbent on other states to make sure that illegal aliens do not vote in our elections. If you or I were in Mexico Maria, they wouldn’t let us vote. That’s just the bottom line. There’s no reason why you should have illegal aliens voting in any election at all,” said Rep. Donalds.

He continued, “But when it comes to the census, I’m going to tell you right now, we are going to make sure that there is no possible way that illegal aliens are going to be counted for the census because you cannot assign congressional districts based upon just gross population. It has to be about the citizens in those jurisdictions, not just about the people that were led into those jurisdictions because they do not have citizenship in this country. They do not get to vote in this country, so they should not be counted for the purposes of setting congressional districts.”

Furthermore, Rep. Donalds believes the Democratic Party has been “radicalized beyond recognition” as it has allegedly moved more left.

“People have not largely changed their political views in the United States. What has happened is the Democrat Party is so radical, it is so progressive. These are these insane ideas that are cooked up in college research rooms and think tanks that have never been applied in the real world,” said Rep. Donalds.

He would go on to chastise the culture of these think tanks and what he believes to be an elitist mentality within them.

“The people who create these ideas have never truly worked in the real world, they’ve never had to make payroll. They’ve never had to put out an actual product, they’ve never had to actually work with people to achieve something. They theorize, they think they’re smarter than everybody. They talk about this stuff at parties,” said Rep. Donalds. “And when it comes to the real world and they implement this stuff, it’s an unmitigated disaster, that’s why the Biden presidency is being rejected.”

Finally, Donalds called on Americans to “get the job done to save the country” and vote former President Donald Trump (R) back into the White House.

Donalds represents Florida’s 19th Congressional District.
