Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) discussed the House Oversight Committee's plans to question former President Joe Biden's inner circle on his mental fitness in a recent appearance on Fox News's Ingraham Angle.
Host Laura Ingraham noted that House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) demanded that several members of Biden's staff, including physician Kevin O'Connor and others, schedule a hearing with Congress no later than May 29th or be subpoenaed.
Rep. Donalds said the hearing would happen one way or another, as "You cannot have occur in our country what the Democrats let happen."
"And not just the Democrats. Operatives, media personalities, all working together to cover up the fact that Joe Biden was not mentally capable, not mentally fit to run the country," Rep. Donalds continued, adding, "And so they are going to come in, and they are going to have to provide testimony to the House Oversight Committee."
Ingraham then asked if the Oversight Committee would inquire about Biden's mental fitness in the 2020 Election or focus on his presidency.
The Florida Congressman answered, "I think what we are going to end up doing is going over the breadth of his presidency because so many things are now being called into question."
"Did he even know about these pardons that they did on their way out the door, these preemptive pardons?" Donalds speculated. "What did he know about what was happening on October 7th, [2023] to our ally, Israel? What did he actually know? What was he comprehending when it was the withdrawal from Afghanistan? What about the start of the Ukraine war, where Russia invaded Ukraine? What was his mental fitness and capability?"
Moreover, the Florida Congressman noted that Biden was speaking with very few people outside of those allegedly acting on his behalf. Thus, "we have to get to the bottom of whether the President was actually capable of doing his job."
"If it becomes clear that he was not mentally fit, then the secondary question is, does it invalidate a lot of the orders that were issued under this administration, and potentially some of the legislation that was signed as well?" Donalds concluded a point he raised in a previous discussion with Fox.
