Is the Fat Lady About to Sing for the DeSantis Campaign?

Governor Ron DeSantis is running a distant second to former President Donald Trump, and no matter what he tries to do, or how many swipes he takes at the former president, nothing seems to stick. Nothing is working. Is it over?

DeSantis is saying all the right things. He is arguably the best candidate in the race, but again, nothing is working.

All of the recent public opinion polls both at the national and state levels show Gov. DeSantis dropping, and President Trump rising.

This is not good news for Florida's governor.

What's worse, Ambassador Nikki Haley is now outpacing DeSantis in Iowa, South Carolina, and New Hampshire.

The latest CNN poll has Haley crushing DeSantis by 11 percentage points.

For months, Team DeSantis insisted that the 2024 Republican Presidential primary race was a two-man race between DeSantis and Trump.

This is not the case.

The race has now shifted to being a two-person race for second place.

DeSantis has been forced to open up two, three, and even campaign fronts in his quest to become the Republican presidential nominee.

Trump is unstoppable and appears to have locked up the nomination.

DeSantis has no other choice. It is late in the race, and he is now fighting for his political future.

The third debate between all of the GOP presidential candidates (minus Trump) will take place in Miami on Nov. 8, and all eyes will be on DeSantis.

Coverage of the 2024 Republican presidential campaign.
