Could Florida be Returning to Slavery?

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s recent banning of AP African-American studies has been called an attack against the Black community and an attempt to whitewash Black history.

Yes, that is a bit of a stretch, but now one Florida lawmaker believes that the move to ban the course that Gov. DeSantis says “Significantly lacks educational value” could run the risk of “repeating the horrors of both slavery and discrimination.”

Could banning this course lead to more discrimination or even slavery in the U.S.? READ MORE

Ending the inhumane practice of human trafficking is at the top of the list for both Republicans and Democrats.
