Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) has become more than just a popular U.S. House Congressman among other legislators, but a nationally recognized name, and is now railing against the federal overspending tied to the COVID pandemic.

Florida Congressman is now looking to solve the problems that the nation is facing today. Rep. Donalds went on MSNBC on Tuesday and declared that “COVID is over now,” and that it is time to rescind the covid policies that are leading to unnecessary spending.

“NEWSFLASH AMERICA: COVID IS OVER NOW, End the COVID emergencies. All that money that we have spent up during the pandemic is now in our baseline. You go in and take that money to pre-pandemic levels, that puts us on a much more sustainable financial path forward,” tweeted Donalds.

At the very end of the clip, Donalds states that the increasing the debt ceiling could be possible if the Covid emergency mandates are rescinded.

He would also state in a tweet that the country “cannot survive” if it keeps spending the way it is spending.

“We cannot survive as a nation if we continue to spend beyond our means. The Republicans have the plan to rein this in, while the only thing Democrats are offering is MORE spending,” tweeted Donalds.

Recently, Americans for Prosperity honored Donalds as a 2023 “Pioneer for Prosperity.”
