Teaching Racism and Hatred in Florida

One of the hot topic issues that will frame the 2022 midterm election is the practice of teaching Critical Race Theory in schools.

The teaching concept is nothing less than racist, and both teachers and parents of all colors from around the country are up in arms over the decision by many school boards to try to indoctrinate students into thinking that because of the color of skin, they should feel shame or guilt.

CRT teaches racism and has no place in our schools.

This issue is important to Gov. Ron DeSantis, who opposes it, and during today’s Florida Board of Education meeting in Jacksonville, will push for the state to rid itself of the concept. DeSantis has already said that he would defund the teaching of CRT and ask the Florida Legislature to draw up the framework to do so. Rep. Anthony Sabatini has already gone on record to say that he would pen the bill. READ MORE

AG Commissioner Nikki Fried told The Floridian that she supports CRT. Rep. Charlie Crist has not said anything, yet.

Reps. Michael Waltz and Greg Steube are also against CRT and want the U.S. Army Military Academy at West Point to stop teaching it to cadets. READ MORE

Socialism in Florida

Whether Democrats want to deny it exists and refute the Republican strategy of painting Democrats as supports of socialism when you have State Reps. Carlos Guillermo Smith, Anna Eskamani, and Omari Hardy defending Democratic Socialism, it's hard not to come to the GOP’s conclusion of Democrats. Wait, and let’s not forget that last year, former Congresswoman Donna Shalala called herself a “pragmatic socialist.”

Now Republicans are dumping a bucket of socialism on Charlie Crist, saying that he has subscribed to it and has brought it to Florida. Forget about “Chaingang Charlie,” now its ‘Commie Crist.” READ MORE

Debbie Wasserman Schultz @DWStweets-The Atlantic defines and sustains life for so many Floridians. From supporting sustainable seafood to stemming plastic pollution, I'll always work to keep our oceans healthy.

Michael Grieco @Mike_Grieco-I just spent an hour on Ocean Drive. What a shitbox. That is the tweet.

Audrey Gibson @SenAudrey2eet-Historical racial information, denigration, importation, brutality, servitude, discrimination, segregation, & other ‘ations are fact not theory. There is no hiding from history. Only truth in learning & building better towards a more unified country. Some just don’t want that.

Rep. Matt Gaetz @RepMattGaetz-Dr. Fauci’s misguided health “recommendations” have been just as destructive on our country as COVID-19.

U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy @RepStephMurphy-BREAKING: As we approach the 5-year anniversary of the Pulse shooting this weekend, the Senate just passed our bill to designate a #PulseNationalMemorial to honor the 49 innocent lives that were taken from us that terrible day.
