The Florida Chamber of Commerce announced over 80 Florida House and Senate endorsements for candidates running in the November midterm through a release this week. The FL Chamber, founded in 1916, is the state's largest business advocacy organization dedicated to promoting free enterprise and pro-growth policies to local, state, and federal officials.
"The Florida Chamber has a long and proven track record of endorsing and electing candidates who stand for the pro-job policies necessary to continue Florida's momentum towards a top 10 global economy," Florida Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mark Wilson said. "We trust these proven incumbent and former legislators to continue to make Florida’s future a priority by focusing on job creation and further economic opportunity for all Florida families and local businesses.”
The FL Chamber endorsed the following Senate candidates.
- Sen. Jay Trumbull (R-Panama City)
- Sen. Jennifer Bradley (R-Fleming Island)
- Sen. Mack Bernard (D-West Palm Beach)
- Sen. Alexis Calatayud (R-Miami)
- Sen. Jason Brodeur (R-Lake Mary)
- Sen. Ileana Garcia (R-Miami)
- Sen. Clay Yarborough (R-Jacksonville)
- Sen. Colleen Burton (R-Winter Haven)
- Senate President-Designate Jim Boyd (R-Bradenton)
- Former Republican Rep. Josie Tomkow (Tomkow is running for Senate District 14)
The FL Chamber previously endorsed Tomkow in January in her special election bid for SD 14. Tomkow is running to retake the seat from Sen. Brian Nathan (D-Tampa) in the general election.
House candidates:

According to the release, the Chamber's endorsements were based largely off its Florida Chamber of Commerce Legislative Report Card.
