With the 2026 midterm elections less than two months away, will the anti-Trump message Democrats are spearheading outlast the anti-socialism attack Republicans have been labeling Democrats with?
Yes, President Trump is being blamed for the current economic downfall because of his tariffs, but Democrats aren’t giving voters any substantive solutions on how to fix the economy.
All Democrats are doing is trying to paint congressional Republican candidates as “MAGA” or Trump stooges who will continue to drive the economy into the ground.
Right now, it looks as if Democrats are winning the name game, and could flip the Republican majority in the House of Representatives.
In turn, Republicans have labeled every single Democratic congressional candidate as being a Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) operative.
Fair enough.
While Democrats are quick to blame congressional Republicans for all the ills that have fallen upon the American electorate, it's important to point out that they are equally to blame for the corruption and ethical challenges that have plagued the U.S. Congress.
Congress’ approval rating is a dismal 24 percent.
And once again, it appears as if Florida will play a significant role in framing the outcome of this year’s general election results.
Democratic Socialism in Florida
Senatorial candidate Angie Nixon (D) is an unapologetic and race-baiting Democratic Socialist.
Rep. Nixon’s past statements in support of DSA, Socialism, and racism are already driving Republican talking points this cycle, but will her hard-line support for Socialism hurt down-ballot Democrats?
Maybe.
To their credit, some Democratic congressional candidates like Pia Dandiya, who calls herself a “Pro-America Democrat” and is running in Florida’s 22nd District against businessman Casey Askar, is campaigning as a centrist Democrat.
But putting her campaign rhetoric aside, is Dandiya a moderate Democrat like Rep. Jared Moskowitz, or is she more inline with the views of Rep. Nixon?
Rest assured that just like Democrats will try to paint Askar as a pro-Trump Republican, Dandiya will be painted as a Socialist firebrand that wants to “Make Socialism Great Again.”
In glancing over Dandiya’s messaging, there isn’t much of in the way of substance. Dandiya is touching on all the anti-Trump talking points, and making a concerted effort to tie Askar to the President, calling him a “Rubber Stamp” for the Commander-in-Chief.
Again, Dandiya sticks to her message, a hollow message of Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) talking points,but she still needs to be given credit for having message discipline.
But in looking deeper into the positions she has taken on certain issues, and who is backing her congressional campaign, could a deep and underlying progressive, Socialist lean exist?
Endorsements
Dandiya has been endorsed by very progressive organizations that play in the muddy puddle of identity politics.
The organizations: Democrats for Education Reform, Aspire PAC, Square One, Vote Mama, and Serve America PAC.
Dandiya has also received the full-throated support from the Palm Beach Human Rights Council and the Florida LGBTQ Democratic Caucus, two groups whose parent organizations promote and support transgender students to participate in girl’s sports.
Also, Dandiya’s campaign website contains certain key Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) trigger words like “Dignity”
“I trust women to make their own health care decisions, and I’ll work to protect access to reproductive care and contraception so those decisions stay between a woman and her doctor. And I believe every American, no matter who they are or who they love, deserves to be treated equally under the law and to live with dignity. As the daughter of immigrants, I know the promise of this country is that who you are and where you come from should never limit how far you can go.”
In addition, Dandiya has received the endorsements of (5) members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus—Reps. Judy Chu, Sarah Jacobs, Grace Meng, Jill Tokuda, and Ro Khanna, who is the vice chairman of the group.
Raising Awareness. Raising a Fist.
On her campaign website, Dandiya openly promotes and uses the long-standing fist-in-the-air symbol that many “Trade unions and socialist and communist parties” have used in the past.
Universal Education
A lifelong educator and former principal, Dandiya is a strong advocate for “Universal pre-K,” an educational initiative that the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) supports.

“That’s why we’ll invest in universal pre-K so kids arrive at kindergarten ready to learn, fully fund strong public schools and the teachers who power them, and build the job training and apprenticeship pathways that prepare young people for careers in a fast-changing economy,” stated Dandiya (Source)
As for Casey Askar, well, he has not hidden his support for President Trump and was recently endorsed by the President and Governor Ron DeSantis, along with the entirety of the Republican congressional leadership apparatus.
Will voters vote in a “rubber stamp” for the America First Agenda, or will they vote in someone who promotes progressive initiatives that align with Socialism and the radicalized, anti-American groups that propagate those initiatives?
Election Day is November 3.
