In a win for the GOP, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) outraised its chief competition, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, in the second quarter of 2025, according to a report from The Hill.

"For the first time in 4 years, the @NRCC is outraising the @DCCC in the first 6 months of an election cycle," National Republican Congressional Committee Press Secretary Mike Marinella said. "While House Republicans build a historical war chest to grow the majority, House Democrats are broke, divided, and hijacked by socialists."

According to the report, the NRCC collected $32.3 million in the second quarter of the year, while the DCCC totaled $29.1 million over the same period. Republicans also led in June, with the GOP raising $18.1 million to Democrats' $12.7 million.

Republican candidates also doubled Democrats in swing district fundraising, according to the NRCC.

"The @DCCC tried to bury its embarrassing June fundraising meltdown in a Friday night news dump," the NRCC joked.

The GOP is also slightly ahead of Democrats overall in 2025, with a cash advantage of $69 million to $66 million. However, the DCCC reported having $39.7 million in the bank, while the NRCC has $37.6 million in cash on hand.

Historically speaking, the GOP's fundraising is a good sign for the party. The last time the NRCC outraised the DCCC in the first six months and second quarter of an election cycle was in 2021.

The welcomed good news follows a report showing Republicans could lose control of the House if they don't extend a major policy point.

"Proud of the incredible momentum @NRCC has built, outraising the Dems with a massive haul," National Republican Committee Chairman Richard Hudson, who also represents North Carolina's 9th congressional district, said. "Our candidates are strong, our message is winning, the American people know their agenda is the Republican agenda, and they are ready to take our country back.
