The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced that it added Casey Askar, the Republican congressional challenger for Florida’s 22nd Congressional District (FL CD 22), to its 2026 'MAGA Majority' program.
“A veteran, successful businessman, and job creator, Trump-backed Casey Askar is ready to fight and win for South Florida in Congress,” NRCC Spokeswoman Maureen O’Toole stated. “Unlike his radical Democrat opponent Pia Dandiya, Askar will work with President Trump and House Republicans to continue lowering taxes and costs, keeping the border secure and communities safe, and standing up to the socialist left.”
NRCC Also Adds Beltran, Green, and Singer
The NRCC has also added challengers Mike Beltran (FL CD 14), Dan Green (FL CD 9), and Scott Singer (FL CD 25) to the program in their efforts against incumbent Reps. Kathy Castor (D), Darren Soto (D), and Jared Moskowitz (D), respectively.
“House Republicans have an incredible bench of proven leaders who are ready to take the fight to the radical socialists,” NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson said. “These candidates have what it takes to win, deliver for their communities, and help us keep America on the path to prosperity and security."
How Does the Program Work?
According to the NRCC, the MAGA Majority program aids candidates in battleground districts across the U.S. working to “provide them with the necessary tools to run successful, winning campaigns against their Democrat opponents.”
This program seeks to highlight candidates in contentious districts who “embody the Trump agenda: securing the border, lowering costs, restoring energy dominance, and putting American workers first.”
The program aims to take advantage of the 23 Democrat-run districts that voted in favor of President Donald Trump during the 2024 Presidential Election.
The Battle For Control of Congress Remains Hot
The battle for control of Congress remains contentious as recent reports indicate that Republicans have lost voters among the second largest voting bloc, Latinos/Hispanic.
Additionally, President Trump’s approval ratings sit at a 39.8% rating, with his disapproval at 56.7%.
