DeSantis Kicks Up His Cowboy Boot to Help Texans, Shows Some Lone Star Love

The ground shook yesterday on Capitol Hill after Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that he was sending Florida Law Enforcement to Texas and Arizona to help out with the border crisis.

Texas lawmakers were stunned, in a good way, to hear that Florida was coming out to help them because the Biden administration has all but failed them. (Harris still hasn’t visited the border)

We spoke to several Texas Republicans on the Hill, and as you can imagine, they loved them some DeSantis, while one Democrat called it “nuts.” MUST-READ

The Demings Dodge

Days after announcing her senatorial campaign against Senator Marco Rubio, Rep. Val Demings has been as stealthy as possible in Washington.

Demings has calculated her media appearances and has dodged trackers and other media while negotiating her job requirements.

We caught up with Demings just off the House floor to ask her about her “Every Vote Counts Act,” but even though she kindly acknowledged us, she never returned to talk to us after that “phone call” she had to make.

Several other reports affirmed that Demings had dodged their attempts to speak to her about her race against Rubio or any other issue. READ MORE

Marco Rubio @marcorubio-Congratulations to the new Prime Minister of #Israel @naftalibennett. I look forward to continuing to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship

Rep. Val Demings @RepValDemings-Today our legislation to establish a national memorial at Pulse was enrolled by Congress to be signed by the President and become law. As we look forward to this important signing, I am thinking of all those who lost their lives five years ago. We will not forget you.

Rick Scott @SenRickScott-Today, I spoke with Colombian Pres. @IvanDuque to express my condolences & support following the ELN terrorist attack on a military base where U.S. military was present. Colombia is our strongest ally in Latin America & we will never tolerate these attacks against democracy.

Rep. Carlos G Smith @CarlosGSmith-It’s been 40 years since Congress created a new federal holiday. This is a great step forward! (Juneteenth)

Bobby DuBose for FL @DuBoseforFL-South Florida is fortunate to have a large population of Hispanics and Latinos that enrich the community with their culture. The most recent presidential election served as a reminder of how powerful the Hispanic/Latino community is. There is always strength in numbers.

Perry Thurston @SenatorThurston-Last night we had a productive Town Hall with my friend and colleague @FarmerForFLSen to enlighten the community about the 2021 session. It is always awarding to receive great questions and insights on the community from our constituents
