Governor Ron DeSantis continues to flex his political muscles in Florida. And as he does so, members of Florida’s mainstream media have begun taking shots at the Republican leader of the Florida Senate for helping to carry out the Governor’s priority of terminating Disney’s “special district.”

State Senator Annette Taddeo (D), who’s challenging DeSantis for the top post in Florida, is calling on Democrats to “sit out the next special session.”

The Florida legislature has granted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) the chance to provide a draft of the redistricting map, which has angered Democrats statewide.

House Speaker Chris Sprowls (R), in speaking at the Future of Florida Forum, did not directly address vaccine mandates, but he did note that the Legislature is entrusted with providing Floridians “the freedom” that’ll “make Floridians’ lives better.”

The Governor’s Press Secretary announced that DeSantis stands by Ladapo, and DeSantis took to social media to defend Ladapo’s record in office.

Fried, who’s also vying to unseat DeSantis, is calling for the Governor to “do right” by Floridians by “withdrawing Dr. Ladapo from consideration” to take on the top health position in the Sunshine State.

In a statement, Florida Senate President Wilton Simpson (R) criticized Ladapo, expressing disappointment in his “unprofessional” behavior.
