Florida Rep. Darren Soto (D) has launched political jabs at the Trump administration for not doing enough on immigration reform. In response, a senior White House official has argued that “the president has offered DACA upwards of three times to the Congress and unfortunately the Congress is [sic] not wanted to accept those plans.”

The Supreme Court has just ruled to extend a lifeline to the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood program, which is a program that permits an estimated 650,000 Dreamers to legally stay and work in the United States.

As the U.S. Supreme Court considers a case brought by the Trump administration that could end the Obama-era DACA program, House Democrats continue to push the anti-immigrant, racist narrative that they first introduced back when President Trump struck down Obama’s DACA executive order.

"A primary goal of comprehensive immigration reform must be to dramatically curtail future illegal immigration.”

Earlier in the day, Senator Rick Scott had said he would be open to sponsoring or cosponsoring a DACA bill. Senator Rubio was asked if he would be open to cosponsoring a bill with his fellow Republican senator.

"We need to make sure we fully fund FEMA. We need to make sure that our Government is not wasting your tax dollars," Scott said, adding ,"we need to take care of the DACA kids."
