Legislators in Washington are still at a standstill when it comes to solving the nations broken immigration reform system. If Democrats take over control of the House, don't expect anything to change on this front. Both parties are at odds over building President Trump's "Wall" and by the looks of it, the rift will continue even if control moves over to the Democrats.
U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R), who is one of the president's staunchest allies, continues to support the idea of building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, even though the idea is not a popular with mainstream America.
.@mattgaetz: "Let's fund the wall. Let's do it right now and let's go into the midterms with some momentum doing what we said and keeping our word to the American people." #Dobbs pic.twitter.com/UQfMWQNEnY
