Former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer announced several South Florida endorsements in his bid for the Republican nomination for Florida's 25th congressional district through.
The endorsements are Mayor Isaac Salver of Bay Harbor Islands, Mayor Seth Salver of Bal Harbour, Mayor Shlomo Danzinger of Surfside, Mayor Glenn Singer of Golden Beach, and North Bay Village Vice Mayor Goran Cuk.
"I'm grateful to Mayor Issac Salvar, Seth Salvar, Shlomo Danzinger, Glenn Singer, and Vice Mayor Goran Cuk for their support of our campaign," Singer said. "They know I will always put South Florida families and communities first, and that I'll bring the same results-oriented, America First Leadership to Congress that I've worked to provide as mayor. I look forward to working together to strengthen our communities and improve the quality of life for all our residents. I'm humbled to receive endorsements from mayors and local elected leaders in all three counties in the district."
District 25 stretches from Delray Beach in Palm County Beach to Miami Beach in Miami-Dade County, including the town of Bay Harbour Islands, Bal Harbour, Surfside, Golden Bach, and North Bay Village. Boca Raton is also in the district, which Singer was mayor of from 2018 to 2026.
Singer announced his CD 25 run in April.
"As our next congressman, Scott is committed to cutting taxes and cutting red tape to continue to improve our economy and create more jobs. He will target waste, fraud, and abuse in government, and lead the fight to ban members of Congress from stock trading in office," the release noted.
Singer is in a Republican primary with George Moraitis, Dan Franzese, Joe Kaufman, Raven Harrison, and Claudia Villatoro. Incumbent Jared Moskowitz is running on the Democratic ticket in CD 25, which was formerly re-drawn from Moskowitz's District 23 by the Florida Legislature in April and signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in May.
Oliver Larkin is also on the Democratic ballot.
