With just two months to go till the 2026 Midterm General Election, President Donald Trump has issued his endorsements for Florida’s Republican congressional challengers.
President Trump announced his endorsements for:
- Ryan Elijah (FL CD 7)
- Casey Askar (FL CD 22)
- Scott Singer (FL CD 25)
- Mike Beltran (FL CD 14)
- Dan Green (FL CD 9)
- Austin Rogers (FL CD 2)
- Joe Strada (FL CD 11)
- Jim Schwartzel (FL CD 19)
Additionally, House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) joined President Trump in backing the Floridian Republicans in their efforts to secure their congressional seats.
Candidates Express Their Gratitude
Most of the challengers took to social media to express their gratitude for the president’s backing.
“President Trump has given me his full endorsement, and I am honored to have it,” Elijah wrote on X. “The President knows I will always put the people of the 7th District first – fighting to grow our economy, lower taxes, promote American energy dominance, strengthen our military, and stand with our veterans,” the former Orlando Matters host added.
“Thank you, Mr. President! It’s time to retire Kathy Castor, and we’re going to get it done,” Beltran affirmed.
“I’m humbled and I’m grateful. I’ve spent my life in Southwest Florida building a business, raising a family, and fighting for conservative values on the air and in this community long before I ever thought about running for office,” Schwartzel said.
Challengers' Odds Of Securing Their Seats
According to prediction market Polymarket, Schwartzel (95%), Rogers (89%), and Strada (83%) have clear odds of winning their battles.
Elijah (67%), Green (66%), and Askar (56%), on the other hand, are expected to face a contentious battle for their seats.
Beltran (35%) and Singer (31%), however, are facing the greatest challenge, as they’re up against veteran Congressmembers in Democratic strongholds.
The 2026 Midterm Elections take place on Nov. 3, 2026.
