Florida Farm PAC, the political action committee for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation, announced its endorsement of Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson in his reelection bid for commissioner this week.

"As a fifth-generation farmer and President of the Florida Farm Bureau, I know how critical strong leadership is to protecting Florida agriculture," Florida Farm Bureau President Jeb S. Smith said in a statement. "Wilton Simpson isn't just an advocate - he's a farmer who understands what's at stake. He's consistently fought to protect our farmland, support farmers and ranchers, and strengthen our food security. That’s why Florida Farm PAC is proud to endorse him for Commissioner of Agriculture.”

The Florida Farm Bureau Federation (FFBF), established in 1941, is the state's largest political agricultural organization with over 132,000 members. The FFBF's mission aims to boost the net income of farmers and ranchers and improve their quality of life across the state.

Commissioner Simpson thanked the Florida Farm Bureau Federation for its endorsement.

"No one works harder than Florida's farmers and ranchers to ensure a safe, affordable, and abundant food supply," Simpson said. "Long before the sun comes up and well after it goes down these men and women are harvesting, innovating and feeding Floridians and I couldn't be more honored to have their trust and support."

The FFBF's support comes after Commission Simpson announced his reelection bid earlier this week.

Simpson, a Republican, has been Agricultural Commissioner since January 2023. His current term ends in January 2027.

Along with the FFBF, sixty-one Florida sheriffs have endorsed Simpson for reelection, including Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, Miami-Dade County Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, Duval County Sheriff T.K. Waters, and Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco.

Simpson won the AG election by nearly 19 points over Democrat Naomi Blemur in 2022. He is one of four candidates running for the job this fall.

The 2026 general election will be held on November 3.
