In an exclusive interview with The Floridian, Former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer warned against the dangers of antisemitism in the U.S., noting the importance of the continued partnership between Israel and the U.S.

Singer is currently running in the Republican primary against George Moraitis, and the winner will challenge for Representative Jared Moskowitz's (D-FL) Congressional District 23 seat.

During the interview, Singer called the surge in anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments in America "particularly alarming," adding that "we shouldn't have hate in any of its forms, and antisemitism has been, over the last decade, the fastest-growing, remarkably growing, type of hate."

The surge, he notes, is more visible in the Democratic Party, referring to Representative Jan Schakowsky's (D-IL) withdrawal of support for Donna Miller over her campaign contributions from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

"If that's going to become a litmus test in the Democratic Party, I think many Jewish voters and other voters who are supportive of Israel, whether evangelicals or just people who understand the importance Israel has in our America-oriented security interests, are going to find themselves more distant from a party they historically voted for," Singer commented, noting that Democrats have "cavalierly" called the Israel-Hamas war an act of genocide.

Rep. Moskowitz, however, has similarly called out Democrats for issuing a similar argument, previously telling The Floridian that "there's no genocide in Israel, okay? There's no genocide going at all. Now, there has been a war in Gaza and massive death, and a lot of innocent civilians have been killed. There's no doubt about that. I'm not denying reality. There's been some collective punishment there, I believe, but it's not a genocide and not by any definition of genocide."

As a Member of Congress, Singer is vowing "to be a strong voice for all of the constituents I represent, and that includes a lot of people who are Jewish, and includes a lot of people who understand that America first does not mean America only."

"It means support for our allies, and we have no greater ally in the Middle East, because Israel is fighting the same fight we have against terrorists who want to bring down Western civilization."
