Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) signaled her vote to release the remaining Epstein files in a recent appearance on Fox News's Big Weekend Show, calling Democrats' recent focus on the files "a smear campaign" against President Donald Trump.

"My position has not changed, I will be voting for it," Rep. Luna affirmed. "But to be clear, I think that the American people understand that right now, everything that the Democrats have tried to say that Trump was somehow implicated is completely false."

House Oversight Democrats released three emails in which the disgraced financier and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein discussed Trump with his girlfriend and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell and journalist Michael Wolff that implied Trump "knew about the girls."

However, the emails redact the name of one victim, which House Oversight Republicans provided as the late Virginia Giuffre, in an unredacted version of the email. Giuffre repeatedly testified that Trump did not engage in any wrongdoing, and Republicans released an additional 20,000 documents that provided further context.

Since then, Trump has announced investigations into prominent Democratic figures, including former President Bill Clinton, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, and businessman Reid Hoffman, while also pushing for the release of all remaining files.

"This has been a smear campaign in an attempt to smear [Trump], his family, and anyone associated," Rep. Luna commented. "I will say that hopefully after this, the Democratic Party will be able to move on, maybe to focus on issues that are benefiting the American people."

Commenting on the recent debacle with Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who has come to verbal blows with Trump over the release of the files, Luna assessed that "at the end of the day, this is politics, and things are not always as they seem." She expressed that while she could not explain Rep. Greene's reasoning, President Trump has good reason to advocate for the release of the files.
