Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) took to social media this week to warn of the "764" child exploitation group.
In a video posted on social media, the Florida Republican provided information about the "dangerous online network known as '764.' After attending a briefing with the FBI, she shared that "this group uses encrypted apps to engage in satanic sexual extortion targeting minors, and they are considered to be extremely dangerous," warning parents to "please stay aware of who your kids are talking to online. PROTECT YOUR KIDS!"
Noting that "child Sexual Assault Material, so CSAM, is through the roof," she praised that federal agents are "serving warrants on these people."
The Florida Congresswoman further described that 764 is a criminal organization characterized as "Nihilistic Violent Extremists" (NVEs), which refers to actors who engage in violence out of misanthropy and hatred of society rather than any real cause.
Specifically, 764 seeks to corrupt and coerce minors into acts of animal abuse, self-harm, suicide, and sexual exploitation.
"I think that there are international terrorists running this," Luna continued, "but they are specifically targeting young women that are vulnerable, using sex and exploitation and then encouraging them for self-harm, mutilation, and suicide. So if you are a parent, watch out."
One such member, 19-year-old Tony Christopher Long of Porterville, California, has recently been indicted by a federal grand jury.
"The FBI has no tolerance for anyone who preys on children or other vulnerable members of society," said FBI Director Kash Patel in a statement regarding the indictment. "This defendant allegedly targeted juveniles, took part in animal crushing, and was part of a violent online network which seeks to sow chaos and destabilize our society. The FBI will work with our law enforcement partners to investigate and hold accountable anyone who engages in such reprehensible and illegal activity."
