In a recent appearance on Fox News' Jesse Watters Primetime, Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) commented on developments in the release of the Epstein files, accusing Democrats of having "lost the national messaging on all fronts."

House Oversight Democrats released three documents this week showing email correspondence between Jeffrey Epstein, his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, and author Michael Wolff in which President Donald Trump is discussed. The documents have been used to suggest the President "knowing about the girls" trafficked by Epstein.

However, the emails redact the name of one victim, which House Oversight Republicans provided as the late Virginia Giuffre, in an unredacted version of the email. Giuffre repeatedly testified that Trump did not engage in any wrongdoing.

Moreover, Republicans released 20,000 additional documents, which Democrats accuse of being "intended to distract attention from their revelations about Mr. Trump's actions during the time he and Mr. Epstein were close."

Notably, Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) brought a unanimous consent request onto the House floor on Wednesday to release the Epstein files in their totality, which Democrats blocked.

"So if you do not think by now that the Democrats have used this basically as a political hot potato in an effort to smear the President and distract from their shutdown failure, you are not paying attention," Rep. Luna commented.

"It is unfortunate," she continued, "because obviously people were harmed and who obviously want justice, but yeah, [Democrats] lost the national messaging on all fronts tonight, so I think that everyone is going to go home and figure out what [the Democrats] are going to run on next."

In September, a birthday card that Trump allegedly gave Epstein was released, which the White House claimed was a forgery.

Representative Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) questioned, "If that is true, then shouldn't the FBI open up an investigation? It is a forgery of the President of the United States. Why would we not investigate it?"
