Democratic candidate for Florida Chief Financial Officer Annette Taddeo joined Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Jolly and his running mate Gwen Graham for a campaign event today, less than a week before election day.

"With Election Day approaching, Democratic candidate for Florida Chief Financial Officer Annette Taddeo will join David Jolly and Gwen Graham for stops on their Believe in Better Tour across Florida on Wednesday, October 28," a press release announced.

The group will start in Jacksonville for a campaign rally with U.S. Senate candidate Angie Nixon and David Jolly. Taddeo will then head to Gainesville for a "get-out-the-vote" rally starting at 6 p.m.

Current polls show Taddeo and Republican opponent Blaise Ingoglia in a dead heat.

Ingoglia, who is the incumbent, is in a slight lead with just over 44% of the vote, compared to Taddeo's 42%, according to an Oct. 8 poll commissioned by Florida Politics.

This comes after Taddeo promised to expose any insurance companies not following regulations.

"In the first hundred days, I will actually put out a report on all insurance companies," she said in a news appearance posted to X. "People need to know which ones are following the rules, which ones are not delayed your claim, which ones are returning your phone call, which ones are financially sound."

She argued that insurance companies are claiming they are raising premiums because they are in the red every year, but that it is really because they are funnelling money to their affiliates, according to the video.

Early voting across Florida ends Sunday, with the polls open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for official election day voting.
