Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) spoke to The Floridian regarding the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, Iran, and their proxies, which has left tens of thousands of people in the region dead. With President-elect Donald Trump (R) stating that the conflict would’ve never happened under his watch, we asked Sen. Scott how the incoming administration would handle the conflict.
Sen. Scott stated that Pres.-elect Trump will “scare the crap out of Iran” on the world stage. He also eluded to the notion that under Trump, Iran did not have the funding to fuel terrorism and regional conflicts.
“He’s the best, most pro-Israel president ever in our history. I think he’ll go back to trying to bring people together,” said Sen. Scott. “I think he’s going to scare the crap out of Iran, which is what they should do so they won’t have the same resources they’ve had.”
Furthermore, we asked Scott about his support for Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) in his new position as Secretary of State in the Trump administration, especially on the Israel issue.
Scott said, “I am pro-Marco Rubio. Whatever he wants.”
The Florida senator failed in his bid for Senate Majority Leader as he lost to Senator John Thune (R-SD) on Wednesday.
Scott released a statement following the unsuccessful bid.

Sen. Scott vowed to be the "change" candidate last week and was confident he would eventually carry the Trump "mandate" into the United States Senate.
“I’m going to run, and I’m going to win,” said Sen. Scott on Fox Business’ “Kudlow” the day after the election.

“And here’s why: I’ve been talking to my Republican colleagues, guess what? They want change. They know that Trump has a mandate, they want to be part of that mandate. They want to be treated as equals, they want to be part of a team, they want to have a working relationship with the House,” said Sen. Scott.
It appeared not enough of Scott’s colleagues wanted change as 27 were needed to make him Senate Majority Leader.
