A Republican Party Divided

The much-anticipated federal indictment of former President Donald Trump continued serving as a great divide amongst Republican voters.

Former supporters of President Trump, who are now supporting Gov. Ron DeSantis, tried their best to dismiss the crowd that gathered at the federal courthouse in Miami, many stating that hardly anyone showed up, or that only about 200 people were in attendance.

This was patently false.

The Floridian was on the ground and estimated that overall crowd to be around 2K.

The amount of people was not comparable to one of Trump’s past rallies, but this court hearing was held in the early afternoon on a weekday.

DeSantis “influencers” have been ramping up their apparent hypocritical attacks against the former president, sounding more like Progressive Democrats than Republicans.

All of the perceived missteps or faults that Democrats used to blame Trump for are now being used by the very same Republicans who supported him just a few months ago.

The ongoing social media jabbing between the two warring Republican factions is only dividing the party even more, as Democrats continue to question the mental fitness of current President Joe Biden.

This split is also occurring between Republican Party of Florida county chairmans and committee men and women.

It’s really getting ugly.

Republicans could hold an advantage going into the 2024 presidential election season, but will they squander that advantage with continued infighting.

All of the recent public opinion polls have Trump beating DeSantis, but again, it is still too early to predict who the Republican presidential nominee will be.
